Health and Ergonomics
The Health and Ergonomics courses provide essential online training in workplace health and safety. The Back Safety course focuses on preventive care for back injuries. Hearing Conservation discusses noise impacts and hearing protection. Heat Stress Management addresses handling heat-related stresses with first aid guidelines. The General Industry Ergonomics course introduces ergonomic principles and cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs), while the Office Ergonomics lesson deals with managing CTDs in office settings. Each course concludes with a Certificate of Online Training and awards one credit per participant.

Back Safety and Injury Prevention

Hearing Conservation
This lesson will help you recognize the impact of noise on your hearing, the warning signs of hearing loss, and the noise exposure limits that necessitate hearing protection. In addition, this lesson will introduce you to the types, benefits, and proper use of hearing protectors and address your responsibilities in supporting your employer’s hearing conservation program. Heat Stress
This lesson will help you become aware of the hazards inherent to working in hot environments. Additionally, you will learn the nature, symptoms, and treatment of heat stresses, as well as the precautions you should take to protect yourself against these stresses. You will hear some general first aid guidelines; however, any treatment-related information provided in this lesson does not constitute medical advice and is not a substitute for evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional.
